From the Vault = Ash Verve Photoshoot

ash1
ash2
Before you all start pouncing on me, I happen to think Aishwarya Rai looks beautiful in both pictures (it’s hard not to when you look like her cough I’m biased cough).  I thought it’d be great to post this because it’s just enlightening to see the work and effort that goes into a photo shoot (not so much of it is the retouching but body positioning and lighting help to get that magic shot).
In the picture above, Aishwarya has bags under her eyes, a looser neck than in the picture below, wider body positioning, bigger boobs, a slight furrow or tension in her forehead and a crumply
dress.  In the picture below, her arm size has definitely been reduced, her entire frame is smaller than in the above picture and it looks like she’s been positioned further back, her dress is fixed, her boobs look more “streamlined” shall we say, her eyebags have been reduced – although they are still there, the tension in her forehead is still there but because of the way she is posing you can’t really see much.  Her pose in the second picture is a million times better than the first picture, as she looks considerably less “hefty” and a lot more delicate.
I def think she looks older in the above picture, but wow she looks so breathtaking!  The second picture, while tightened and more youthful, does seem a little robotic and plasticky to me.  I wish more magazines would release untouched images from photoshoots… they are very enlightening!

First time for everything!

chocolate_fondue_set

You would THINK that someone who LOVED CHOCOLATE as much as I do would have had Fondue many times by now but nope.. yesterday was the FIRST time I had fondue.  Can I also say I had a completely ditzy moment where I pondered at why the chocolate had hardened.  Apparently the chocolate hardened because it wasn’t flowing anymore which, ok, I get, but then why do chocolate bars melt so easily???  I mean you would think that the chocolate in a fondue fountain thingy would be a little bit heated so that it wouldn’t harden up so fast?  Anyway.. I want chocolate covered strawberries every day :(  they are so delicious!  My mouth is watering.

Aishwarya Rai on Oprah!

oprahash

Yay I absolutely CANNOT wait to see Aishwarya and hunky hubby Abhishek on the Oprah Show today!  Aishwarya looks completely stunning in a sari by Indian designer Sabyasachi.  Look’s like Sabyasachi has replaced Aishwarya’s once favourite designer Neeta Lulla and thank God for that!  (Remember Neeta’s disastrous Cannes outfits for Ash during Ash’s days as a juror?)

I hope Aishwarya is not too reserved and diplomatic in today’s episode like she normally is on international television.  The episode airs locally in Vancouver at 4pm so there’s another 45 minutes to go for people like me who don’t have cable!  Most people who have watched it have favourable things to say but I will definitely update with my review in a bit!  Check this space for the update!

Archie Andrews Weds Veronica Lodge?!

a601.600

I DIDN’T KNOW HE PICKED VERONICA OVER BETTY!!!  How did I not know that this huge event happened?  I can’t believe they’re actually finally making Archie choose one or the other.  I wanted Archie to be with Betty initially but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Veronica is the best choice for him.

Archie doesn’t deserve Betty.  Betty is such a nice, sweet, kind, loving person that she deserves someone that will love her back just as hard and worship the ground that she walks on.  Archie always made Betty help him with his homework, eat her baked goods, and basically used her, while treating Veronica like a princess.  Veronica isn’t as needy as Betty and will be able to handle the indecisive, irritating but lovable and well meaning boy that Archie is.  The fact that she’s rich should also help because Archie doesn’t really have any special talents other than being the cutest red headed freckled boy ever.  It’s a good thing that he picked Veronica and it’s a good thing that she isn’t needy or insecure.  After 68 years of sharing him with another woman, a woman like Betty would always have lived in fear that Archie would leave her (or worse, cheat on her) with the more glamorous and exotic Veronica.  Veronica on the other hand is so confident of herself that she would never dream of a man cheating on her, or leaving her, and even if Archie did she would always have Reggie!  If the media pressure got too high and the relationship crumbled, Betty would have been broken, whereas Veronica would likely still come out smelling of flowers so it’s a good thing that Betty was given the heartbreaking news now rather than losing him later.  At least she has the chance to move on now, at long last!

I can’t believe they actually made him decide.  Apparently, they’ve set the new set of comics 5 years later, so all three have graduated from Riverdale High (tragic, I know!) and Archie might actually have a real job.  While it would be nice to find out what kind of job Jughead and the rest of the gang would have and in general to find out what happens to some of the most famous high school students ever, it really pains me that they’ve to me, ended the story.  It’s not like Barbie where they’ve always had a storyline for her (you DO know that her and Ken broke up right?  They’re now divorced..after 43 years of plastic perfect marriage), the Archie comics have always been set in one time period.  They weren’t supposed to grow up (!!) they were supposed to run tabs at Pops and drink milkshakes and go to dances forever!  It’s like the end of childhood!  The major selling point of the comics for me was the fact that you never really knew which girl he would end up with.  SPOILER ALERT: It’s like in Gossip Girl (the book version not the tv show) where Nate sails off into the sunset without picking either Blair or Serena…some things are just better off left to the reader to decide.

I hope Betty finds someone that will treat her right and eventually I hope she’ll move on, although 68 years is a long time to love somebody ;)  The funny or not so funny thing is how I see this exact scenario mirrored in real life.  Too often is the girl who pines and worships her love overlooked when it comes down to the guy popping The Big Question.  Guys inevitably end up choosing the one girl who delivers excitement, the one that makes their heart race rather than beat comfortably, the one that treats them like crap but makes up for it with sweet kisses when they do something right.  I’m sick of girls like Betty who place their object of affection on a pedestal and ALLOW boys like Archie to have their cake and eat it too.  Betty’s of the world allow their Archie’s to eat up the lovely dinner they give them and then eat dessert elsewhere.  Yes, Veronica let Archie be with Betty as well, but she never bowed down and did things for Archie that didn’t require more effort than a swipe of a credit card.  Plus, she went on dates with Reggie at the same time, so it’s not like she was really ever on the losing end of the stick.  I mean, the fault is not with Archie, it would be with Betty.  Why wouldn’t a guy want the best of both worlds?

Anyway, now that I’ve gotten over the shock of my favourite childhood love triangle cease to be a triangle anymore I just have one more thing to say:  Veronica Lodge, I really expected you to have a better wedding dress!  What the hey is that?…If they were all gung ho on the being real and ruining the fantasy world they were living in thing they could have at least put some more thought into her wedding dress.  Even Heidi’s (The Hills) dress was nicer.

Love, today.. Love Aaj Kal

love-aaj-kal-movie-poster
This movie was great.  It really was all about love in today’s times.  Have you ever watched DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)?  Have you ever thought that it was a little unrealistic because that would never really happen in today’s day and age?  I mean, which guy would you meet on a train ride across Europe that would fall in love with you during those few weeks.. fall in love so hard that he would follow you to India in order to break up your pre-arranged marriage?  It’s just not possible or realistic.  Love Aaj Kal is a love story for today’s generation as it deals with practicality and is actually realistic (not including the unbelievable gorgeousness of the couple and the random worker from a coffee shop that helps another random stranger with his love story and also not including the crazy song and dance sequences).  Other than that though, it deals with a big dilemma that many couples and singles have today– Career vs. Love.
Would you choose love over career or vice versa?  Do you have to choose?  What if you did and you thought that just because you have to choose means that this isn’t your true love?  Do you even believe in one true love or do you just think that eventually, people get over it, and time heals all wounds?
I think time does heal most wounds but sometimes people mistake time for like.. false love.. what I mean is.. someone may fall in love with someone and then heals that wound over time but thinks that that person wasn’t a true love because of the fact that they got over it!…when really.. it was time.
Continue later.  Tullered.

RUMOUR HAS IT

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANY POSTED PICTURES NOR AM I SAYING THAT ANY OF THE FEATURED CELEBRITIES HAVE GOTTEN MEDICAL PROCEDURES. EVERYTHING WRITTEN IS SPECULATION BY THE OWNER OF THIS BLOG.
********************************************************************************
So below are a bunch of pics I got off sites like www.plasticdesis.com and others.. these young lads and ladies are rumoured to have undergone plastic surgery. It’s pretty hard to tell because pictures are often photoshopped as it is but here they are.. make your own decision! I think they were all beautiful before and after!!!!!!!
aishwarya-dhoom pretty-aishwarya aishwarya-nokia Apparently The Most Beautiful Woman in the World Aishwarya Rai had her smile fixed - dental work and lately she’s been rumoured to have had botox injections but regardless, that doesn’t really count because she’s like 30 something now and her features have been the same it’s more a matter of general upkeep! I heart her.
My biggest heartbreak was when I found out that most of the South American pageant queens have had extensive plastic surgery(actually most contestants in general but I always found the South American ones some of the prettiest in the pageant so it was a bigger heartbreak for me). All big time beauty pageants have plastic surgeons on board, and as winning the crown (Miss Universe for example) is considered a huge, huge honour for many countries and competition is fierce… plastic surgery is highly recommended, if not necessary for the entrants.
Now, I’m not one of those jealous girls who say “that chick is so ugly without makeup” or “that girl is only pretty because of plastic surgery”. I strongly believe that most girls need to have a good base in order for their surgery to be successful. It is usually the minor tweaks that get the best results, so a good base is essential. I don’t think girls need plastic surgery at all but it’s definitely a personal choice. One one hand you can look at the girl who got plastic surgery and say “wow, you are so vain to care so much about your appearance that you would have surgery!” OR you could say “wow, you clearly aren’t vain at all because to further your career you didn’t even mind changing your face and having surgery.”. Most girls get surgery because they are told that it will further their career - as a model, as an actress, as a news anchor, etc. If I was told that the only thing holding me back from being the next (female) Anderson Cooper was a nose job, I think I would do it (get the nose job). I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn’t take that opportunity for myself and for my family. What’s in your appearance anyway, I’d still be me! Of course it sucks that I wouldn’t be accepted the way I am (hypothetically speaking) and of course it would suck to look in the mirror everyday and not see the REAL me, because I love the way I am now, but I think I would rather accomplish my dreams and be happy.. because I would totally, totally love to have his job, than be so vain as to not take up an opportunity because I was letting my love for my appearance colour my dreams. I know it’s all a little backwards but I think I gave a good scenario so hopefully you understand. You see, the problem isn’t that a girl would choose to do plastic surgery to further her career, the problem is that getting plastic surgery actually does further that person’s career!
Let’s check out some celebrities who are RUMOURED to have had plastic surgery.
90061352nc1 95270695mt9
Zac Efron for one..He LOOKS like he’s had the bridge of his nose narrowed and more defined and the tip of his nose narrowed as well. The rest of him looks about the same… I’m sure the bronzer is helping to define his cheekbones and make his face look chiselled and part of it is probably just puberty! Would he be as big of a star if he remained the guy on the left? Probably not! Maybe for 12 year olds the sweet dude on the left was ok, but Zac has now definitely broadened his appeal to include ladies (and men) of all ages.
1590995608_small
Heidi Montag from the Hills is strongly, strongly rumoured to have had a nose job and I would say she’s admitted to it but I’m too lazy to search for a reliable source so let’s just let the pictures do the talking. . ok well in my opinion.. she looks cute before, and her old nose was fine..
ashlee9pl
AshleeNose
One of my favourites.. Ashley Simpson! Her nose job was confirmed by her father Joe Simpson who claimed that she got the nose job to help with her breathing. Right, that’s what they all say. Looks to me like she had her chin shaved down a little as well but no reports on that as of yet. Why is this one one of my favourites? Simple, it’s because she went from looking like Ashley Simpson, to looking like a regular, cookie cutter Barbie doll run of the mill blonde girl from California. Sure, she’s hotter now, but it’s really such a pity.
tyra-banks-makemeheal-tyra-banks-nose-job
tyra55
tyranosevsnose110907
Now Tyra Banks …one of my favourite models of all time (!!!) is also rumoured to have had a nose job. She’s proven that her boobs are real (God bless her!) but has never talked about the rumoured nose job. Sometimes it looks like a case of clever makeup, but sometimes it’s like whoa nose job. Who knows, or should I say who nose?
camilla-belle-nose-job-thumb-450x341
Camilla Belle.. this chick is a total hottie and completely underrated in the hotness department. If it is a nose job it’s nicely done. The original shape is pretty much maintained, it looks like she’s done something that is very popular nowadays in the plastic surgery world and that is just getting a smaller version of your nose to make it look more natural. That being said the tip of her nose looks a little narrower than in the before picture. Gorgeous before and after but the tan definitely helps this woman out.
giselle_bundchen
Gisele Bundchen or Gisele Bundchen Brady whatever her name is now… let’s JUST talk about the noses for all the Victoria Secret models shall we ‘cause otherwise we’ll be here forever! The bridge of her nose looks narrower, the overall look more streamlined, all bumps appear to be removed. Would she have been as famous as she is now if she currently looked like the girl in the bottom left picture? I think so! End result – so freaking hot.
priyanka0090
priyanka_chopra3 - Copy.preview
priyankachopraxp9 - Copy_0
Miss World Priyanka Chopra. Besides an obvious change in her makeup and the addition of coloured contact lenses (*lame because she wears them all the time and supposedly even has eye problems now because of it!*) her nose looks much, much smaller. She used to have a rather bulbous tip that was slightly off center and that looks fixed now as well as the bridge of the nose (narrower).
scarlett-johansson-nose-job
Hollywood A-lister Scarlett Johansson also is rumoured to have had a nose job and to me it really looks like she’s had some cheek implants or fillers to give her face a bit more contour and definition. The tip of her nose looks to be about the same, it wasn’t a bad nose to begin with, but yea..smoothened and narrower bridge.
katrina-kaif-004 katrina-kaif-20 (this pic looks like a mirror image of the one below, you can tell by the eyebrow/nose. The nose is slanted to the left in the pic above and to the right in the pic below but in both the nose is slanted to the brow that is less arched and lower).
Katrina-Kaif-torments-in-pi
katrina-kaif-110a1 Voila.
I don’t know to say about Katrina Kaif She just looks different to me now, I don’t know what it is. Her jaw looks narrower, more feminine and a little bit more defined than in the before pictures. Her nose has lost the slant and has more definition in the tip which helps a GREAT deal. Not much else to say on her.. Camilla Belle and her kind of look alike. Both are cute :)
gossip-girl-blake-lively-nose-job
Blake Lively I was shocked at this one really. I thought she was naturally this pretty but the pictures seem to point to something other than natural beauty. The “new” nose looks shorter, doesn’t droop downwards, is straighter and free of bumps and has a very defined bridge and tip which was lacking in the previous pictures. In all other aspects as well she’s def been given the A list makeover imo.. various laser and chemical peels and treatments for the skin and some awesome makeup. Her hair always looks super gorgeous – I suspect extensions. Other than that she looks natural, am glad I don’t see a fish pout on her.
post
Who is she you ask? Minissha Lamba. Ok, I guess that didn’t clear up much.. she’s an actress albeit not a very famous one. She looks less “Indian” and a lot sexier (the two – looking less Indian and looking sexier are not related at all just two separate facts that I happened to notice) in the bottom right picture but she looks cuter and more human/less alien in the top right. Pictures courtesy of a site called plasticdesis.com
post1 (1)
Rani Mukherjee, everyone’s favourite husky voiced, talented actress. She had a pretty awesome nose before but it appears narrower and more generic now. I think it makes the rest of her face look wider…her cheeks look quite big compared to her nose in the bottom right picture. Once you mess with one thing it changes the proportions and look of everything else. Lucky for her she has big eyes and big lips so it saves her proportions a little bit. She can act so I love her.. and her eyes are just amazing.. goodness.
post1
Shilpa Shetty. Obvious. Old nose job where they basically gave you a generic “perfect” nose without caring what your face shape was like. I think it’s too pinched. She’s still cute in the top left pic.

I CANNOT BELIEVEEEEEEEE THE FIRST PIC OF HER!!! LOL WOW! Sridevi Sridevi Sridevi.. I had no idea you looked like that! Thank God for surgeons? She looks beautiful in the after pictures.

Kareena Kapoor. She’s pretty dang gorgeous without makeup. Like, stunning! Anyway, I would say – nose job and jaw surgery. I think her jaw looks completely different, it’s so defined and angular now whereas before it didn’t have that strong L shape, more of a U. Re: her nose…the tip of the nose is the biggest difference. Everything else looks ok/pretty much the samemegan-fox-nose-job-300x256
Megan Fox-SGS-016400
Megan Fox. What a babe. Rumoured to have had an injectable filler popped in her nose to get rid of the bump. Don’t know what else she’s rumoured to have had but…quite a few I’m guessing to go from 12 year old to the world’s hottest woman.
preity_zinta_2 preity_zinta_side1
Preity Zinta !!!!!!!! Absolutely adore her, she’s such a sweetheart! Her nose looks different for sure, narrower and more defined (the usual) . She’s been rumoured to have eye surgery and a brown surgery before the shooting of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK)
That’s all for now folks.. check out some interesting articles on plastic surgery in the pageant world and training for being in a pageant:

Seriously effed up! Tootie scares me.

tootie
So I was watching Toddlers & Tiaras today for the first time ever on TLC and was freaked out but amazed at the same time and ended up watching the entire episode.
The “toddlers” ranged from itty bitty babies that could barely walk on stage alone to full fledged diva’s like Tootie, (that’s her stage name! Her real name: Madison) who has all the snarl and attitude of a Hollywood A-lister.  Tootie competes in the age 10-12yr old category but looking at her face and how she acts you would never guess she fits in that age group.  I watched in fascination as she pouted and primped in front of the mirror before the pageant… she was like a mini adult with her eyeliner, fake tan, french manicure, lipliner, lipstick and everything else required to become a pageant girl.  I knew her mom had created a monster when Tootie b*tched (not yelled, not whined, b*tched!) at her hairdresser for being a dimwit/not knowing how to braid her hair.
Now, I’m not one to say that pageants are stupid.  I was in many baby beauty contests myself when I was younger (and won them thank you very much) and would continue to participate in pageants at my current age if I had the time.  However, I just think it is so completely wrong to have these girls who are at such an impressionable age competing in pageants.  These girls are worrying about how they look, their weight, makeup, tanning and that is just not right for someone so young.  I think it’s ok to put your child in pageants when they’re younger if they show an inclination to performing and they actually enjoy it (some contestants were hiding behind their mothers on stage – clearly they’re not into it, don’t put them through hell like that! geez), but if they’re at an age where they will remember this for the rest of their lives and understand what is going on (around age 7/8) I think it’s time to stop.  Women are already bombarded with images and pressures to look our best and we are already insecure about looks as it is.. I couldn’t imagine being brought up in a world where my looks were my number one priority since I was a little girl!  It is also so damaging for their hair and nails and skin.  They’re constantly being hairsprayed, spray tanned, made up with pounds of makeup and false eyelashes..etc.  How can a mom put their child through that?
Being in pageants when you’re at an age that can remember it forever is wrong, plain and simple.  Your kid might enjoy being in pageants when she’s 8-12 years old because she’s been brought up her whole life in the pageant world but it’s your duty as a parent to stop it at one point and make sure she lives a normal life and worries about innocent things rather than appearance.  If she’s still interested in pageants there are many opportunities to join once she’s older and has more knowledge and maturity to handle the pressures of being in a pageant but for now, let kids be kids!  I shudder to think of what Tootie will be like as she grows older…or then again maybe she’ll be rich and super famous and laugh at everyone who made fun of her mom for putting her in pageants.

Technology!

udaychopra
I just think it’s super cool that there is this technology available where like.. “fans” can get in touch with “stars”.  As soon as Amitabh Bachchan started blogging I was like omg.. this is huge.  Ever since I was little I used to wonder what “stars” were like, what they ate, where they went, what their day to day schedules were like.  I don’t think this fascination with celebrity will be something that I will ever grow out of, nor do I ever want to.  I like being amazed, and I like being thrilled.  I got a super huge rush when I saw Mickey Mouse.  It was SO AWESOME.
I went on Karan Johar’s page and he has updates like: “sitting in the office with SRK”.. and you just think I want that!  Then when you see Demi Lovato (hope I spelt her name right.. I think she’s a Disney starlet?) posting about how she’s getting off her tour bus and going on a private jet.. you just think.. I want THAT!  Maybe Twitter isn’t the greatest idea.. it makes you that much closer to everything that you can’t have.
Sigh.

Twitter Mania!

haha
So I’ve recently joined Twitter and I think I might become addicted to this thing.  People often wonder what’s so great about it seeing as how on Facebook you can post pictures and do all kinds of funky stuff.  I think the thing that keeps people flocking (pun intended) to Twitter is the real time action that you see on there…not to mention the celebrity mania.  “Stars” like Mallika Sherawat from Bollywood, Self proclaimed Armenian Princess = Kim Kardashian and influential people such as Anderson Cooper and Larry King all have Twitter accounts that they are constantly updating.
It’s super interesting to see what’s going on in their lives (stalker world that we live in) and of course it gives a little thrill when you get mentioned (as you see above, Mallika Sherawat responded with an “@queensharin” to a little query of mine).  It looks like the aim is to have as many followers as you can because of course, everyone wants to be their own mini celebrity.
Both Facebook and Twitter reek of a culture that is voyeuristic and self obsessed.  I don’t see sites like these becoming obsolete anytime soon.  Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, join them! ;)

I’m pretty horrible

evil-inside

Sometimes I think I’m the meanest person in the world.  The capacity that I seem to hold to hurt other people is limitless.  Ask anyone close to me and I’m sure they’ll be able to corroborate this theory.

I am also a complete failure, worthy of a big, fat, FML Grand Prize for being the most deserving candidate in the modern world.  I’m kidding.. somewhat.  Seriously though, I’m so in the hole in every aspect I don’t even know what to do.  People I know feel the same way, and how am I supposed to help them if I can’t even help myself and vice versa.  Maybe I should just focus on one thing and one thing only…sigh… nice thought but the answer to too many of my problems is $$$ so I guess work will have to stay alongside with school and family and friends..yay so we’re back to square one.

A lot has happened to me lately that has made me realize that karma is a b*tch.  For example, I used to treat people that became close to me like sh*t and drop them and not really care after a while.  Now, that happens to me!   I think I make friendships that might last a long time…not that I don’t have friends already but when you meet new people you do become friendly with them and some of them seem really cool and you’re like hey, I made a great friend.  Then, boom.  You never hear from them again.  It doesn’t really matter much because I have my close friends already anyway, but it does just make me think about how I’ve treated people in the past.  Also, I guess it’s not so smart to become friends with people who started off “too” friendly because people that hit on you can NEVER, ever be your real friend.  I was smarter when I was younger.

Anywho.. I know I’m being horribly vague, but I promise more shall be revealed in the future.  For now, I’m off to eat some more Pringles, Kit Kats, and Nutella by the spoonfull…and drink some more Coke (actually horror of horrors I only have Pepsi right now, forgive me Coke I still love you!).

Being fat is fun!!

Bandwagoners

bandwagon1
As of late.. I’ve heard so many people say the word “bandwagon”.  Why is that?  It is because, Michael Jackson has died, and now anytime someone mentions his name or says anything good about him, the other person in the conversation goes “way to jump on the bandwagon.”
What is a bandwagon(er)?  Urbandictionary.com describes it as
A fan of a particular sports team who had no previous interest in the team until they began winning. They often will claim that they have been "a fan forever."  AND/OR
In sports, someone who shamelessly cheers for a particular team not because he likes them or follows them faithfully, but only because that particular team is the "popular" choice or has been or is the top team in their specific sport recently. When that team which bandwagoners follow falls from grace, they gleefully jump on the next teams bandwagon and cheer for that team.
I believe that:
just because you HAPPEN to like something that everyone else likes.. it doesn't mean you're a bandwagoner just because it happens to be a convenient time to start liking something.. HOWEVER .. if you're liking something JUST because other people are liking it and you don't actually fully like it yourself and would never have liked it if other people didn't like it only then are you a bandwagoner.
In the case of Michael Jackson.  It is completely plausible and highly likely that people were a fan of Michael Jackson before his death,(in fact I don’t think I know a single person who would be immune to his music or talent) and after he died, they realized once again how amazing he was and and kind of renewed that interest in him.  It’s completely natural, and a common product of mourning, to reminisce about a person and to remember all the good things that came out of that person’s life.  I think it’s an insult to just continue on as if nothing had ever happened.  Are people supposed to shout from the rooftops randomly that you’re a fan of someone?  I’ve never been that type of person where I shout things from rooftops lol (figuratively) because I just don’t feel that I need to prove anything to anyone.  I’m a quiet kind of fan.  Of course, when people are alive yea you could be a fan and have all the cds or love the songs and think he’s awesome, but if he never really came up in conversation with someone or made news it’s not likely that many people will know, especially because he was around for so long it’s kind of generally accepted that everyone loves him.  It’s like.. when people ask me who my favourite actors are.. I usually say the younger, generally popular talented actors and bypass someone like Amitabh Bachchan because that’s just kind of a known fact.  Of course I don’t think anyone matches up to him.. he’s not even in the running he’s just permanently up there and not in the same league.  If that makes sense.
But you know what?  Even if someone was not ever a fan of Michael Jackson and just started listening to his music after his death and now realized that they liked it… SO WHAT?  I’m HAPPY!  Why would any fan of his NOT be happy that more people are appreciating his music?  As a fan, why would I say to someone “oh whatever you’re just into him now that he died”?.  That doesn’t make any sense.  I hate people and fans who look down on others..  “you can’t be as big of a fan as I am because I’ve watched every single Canucks hockey game since I was five”, “If you were a real fan you would have _____” Fill in the blank.  Being a fan, means that you care/love something.  There is no measure for how much someone loves something.  Sure, there are other people who know more about Italian football than I do, but that doesn’t mean I’m not as happy as those people when they win the World Cup, or as sad as them when they lose!  (I don’t actually watch club soccer but I watch the cups).  As for Michael, I mean, he lived a pretty rough life, and he WAS one of the most talented entertainers there ever was (WHILE he was alive and will continue to be the most talented for a long time I think) so of course I think he deserves it.  He deserves to have his songs played on the radio for weeks, he deserves to have people fall in love with his music, he deserves all the CNN and worldwide coverage, he deserves to have Billie Jean pumping from every car on the road.  It would be a disservice to him not to remember him.  And like I said before, of course people that you might not have known were fans before are going to be talking about him now.  It’s natural.  Someone DIED.. what are people supposed to just ignore that?  Does it really matter if you liked his music before or not?  What matters is if you like it NOW.  You’re alive NOW.  You either like something, or you don’t, and if you appreciate his music now that he’s dead, than all I can say to you is I’m glad you finally saw the light.  Yes of course, it kills me to see how the media and normal people everywhere bullied the sh*t out of him when he was alive but it would kill me even more if people didn’t at the very least appreciate him now that he’s gone.
It just amazes me how human’s put so many restrictions on themselves.  Like, you should be able to feel whatever you want to feel and not restrict yourself from those feelings.  Just because you might seem like you’re jumping on a bandwagon, doesn’t mean that you should suppress your emotions!

Haunted

Lately I’ve been watching and reading a ton of ghost stories and been so scared to sleep at night.  It’s odd because it’s like this obsession to consume as many scary stories as possible.. the scarier the better but it’s weird because I’m still unbelievably frightened to go to sleep.  Why can’t I stop with the scary stories?! Sheesh.  Off to watch the Excorcism of Emily Rose!  Gosh I’m freaking out just thinking about it.  I need a man to cuddle up to while I watch it for the scary parts!  Any volunteers ;) ? hahaa lol
